Scanner Calibration problem

Mon Nov 2, 2009, 6:43 AM
The color of my traditional artwork deteriorates after scanning, is there anyway to calibrate my scanner to make the colors less saturated and more true to life? The colors get washed out for some reason, it makes my work look horrible. I tried searching on google, but majority of the tutorials state that the problem is with my monitor, that's highly unlikely because I've already adjusted my color ICC profile with adobe gamma.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. . .
